Delivering Happiness: The Rap Video
Just when the tech community wet its rap pallette with MC Hammer (backed by the notorious dance moves of TechCrunch editor Erick Schonfeld), Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh follows up with a ditty of his own (featuring the talents of Laura Lombardi). Hsieh has been on a nation-wide bus tour promoting new book, 'Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion, and Purpose,' with a team of over ten happiness agents (read our review of the book here).

Key Command Generator helps you generate beautiful shortcut key codes

A while ago, we had a heated debate on our internal mailing list concerning the best way to note shortcut keys. Is it Ctrl+Enter? Maybe it should be a hyphen, so should it be Ctrl-Enter? And should there be a space? Should we capitalize, or not?
This might seem fussy, but when you're authoring a large body of text (or a collaborative blog), some standards have to be established. It's not just a matter of consistency for consistency's sake - the question is what makes the most sense for users.
Key Command Generator offers an interesting take on this problem. You fill in a simple form for your shortcut key, and you get an embeddable code. When you embed said code within your document, it shows up as a stylized "keyboard diagram" (as you can see in the screenshot).
While we won't be using it ourselves (because the output is pretty ginormous), I can certainly see how this can come in handy for other projects. I only wish it was a bit easier to use. A simpler syntax would be great, because then I could just change a few parameters in my code and avoid having to fill the form in every time. Perhaps something like shortcutkey.com/ctrl+shift+enter. Kiss releases LED HDTV, because it's criminal to view Paul's Starchild makeup any other way
Legendary rockers are releasing officially-licensed LED HDTVs, available in 55-, 46-, 42-, and 32-inch (aka "Mini Kiss," to no one else but the Engadget staff) variants, priced between $818.88 and $1,988.88 (and unless we're mistaken by the wording, buying the 55-inch model also nets you a 32-incher) and on sale now online / in-store mid-November. Each set has the Kiss logo emblazoned on each bottom corner, and you'll be rocked -- nay, rawked -- by eight seconds of the band's imagery every time you turn it on. Super Talent's CKB USB key is more key, less USB
Cute, right? Super Talent's latest USB key most certainly lives up to its name, with the metallic CKB being offered in a pair of hues (nickel and black) and in a handful of capacities (2/4/8/16/32GB). They'll only hum along at USB 2.0 speeds, but they're said to be water resistant and warrantied for life. How would you change Apple's Magic Trackpad?
Magical? Maybe. But there's no doubt that Apple's Magic Trackpad was a shot out of left field when it debuted earlier this summer. Offering loads of multitouch gestures to desktop users who are sick and tired of using the same 'ole mouse for the past score, the pad received little attention from Apple itself. Rather than launching the new hardware at a press event, the company simply slid it into its webstore, just hoping and praying that you'd put your optical bias aside for a moment and try it out.
